When you arrive, our nurses will take a thorough medical history from you and discuss your individual needs and goals for the infusion. We will go through potential risks and answer any questions you have.
You will then have an audio-visual consult with our prescribing practitioner. If there are any concerns relating to your medical history or you have any direct questions for our doctor, they are able to answer them before prescribing you a personal script for your vitamins.
It legal requirement that you have an initial audio-visual consult with a prescribing practitioner and have a personal script attached to your file which is valid 12 months in QLD.

Each IV infusion takes between 30-60mins. We titrate the rate of your infusion so that you’re comfortable throughout the treatment.
Our NAD+ infusions on average can take between 2 - 4 hours, this varies person to person depending on how the infusion is tolerated.

Yes, like with any treatment, there are risks. Although minimal, our top priority will always be about your safety.
Prior to your infusion a registered nurse will discuss your medical history with you and run you through the potential risks to ensure that it is suitable for you to have an infusion.
At your initial consult, you will have a quick chat with our doctor via audio-visual link. If you are suitable for our treatments, you will then be prescribed the vitamins for your infusion.

-
Although the risk of having a serious allergic reaction is extremely low, it can happen. In the (very) unlikely event that a person has a reaction, we have plans and equipment in place to ensure you are kept safe.

No we don’t.
Iron infusions are treated like blood products within the hospital setting. This is because iron infusions carry a much higher risk of allergic reactions.
Iron infusions should always be administered under the supervision of an on-site doctor.

When vitamins are taken orally, we only absorb about 30% of the actual vitamin. This is because it needs to be broken down in the stomach and make its way through the digestive system before our body can even think about starting the absorption process.
The amount you absorb dramatically decreases even further when there are gut and digestive issues at play, our immune system is run down, or whenever stress is involved.
VTMN infusions on the other-hand, have 100% bioavailability. This means that 100% of the vitamins in our infusions are absorbed straight into the bloodstream (bypassing the gut) and can start the cellular uptake phase within seconds.
*Although we love our VTMNS, they should never replace a healthy diet and lifestyle.
-
Our VTMN infusions are administered by emergency trained registered nurses who are overseen by our integrative practitioner.
VTMN uses commercial grade, sterile nutritional supplements that sourced within Australia under strict regulations.
-
As emergency nurses, we have inserted thousands of cannulas and we are yet to meet anyone who actually enjoys having a needle.
When the cannula is inserted, you may feel a small pinch (a green-ant bite is much worse tbh), once the cannula has been inserted we remove the needle and you can relax.
At VTMN, we want to make this experience as pleasant and as comfortable as possible. As this is an intravenous treatment, we can’t avoid the needle aspect of the job, but we do have a few secret ways to make the experience as stress-free as possible for you.
-
The most important thing is to have something healthy to eat as this will assist in the absorption process of the vitamins and of course, drink plenty of water! We want your veins to be nice and plump. We recommend avoiding alcohol too.
-
Keep super hydrated so your body can continue to flush out toxins.
Eat nutritious foods as your body is in a prime state to continue absorbing the extra micronutrients from the foods you eat.
Avoid strenuous exercise or lifting heavy things with the arm that has had the cannula. This can increase the risk of bruising.
Avoid alcohol - alcohol directly impacts the absorption phase.
